Joel Holmdahl, 42 \u00e5r, man. Bonde p\u00e5 mindre familjeg\u00e5rd med sm\u00e5 barn och stora ambitioner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vilken \u00e4r din koppling till maten och matsystemet?<\/strong>
Jobbar heltid p\u00e5 g\u00e5rden med gr\u00f6nsaker, djurh\u00e5llning, v\u00e4xtodling. Jag jobbar med att bygga upp strukturer som m\u00f6jligg\u00f6r matproduktion i skogslandskapen. B\u00e5de i min roll som producent men \u00e4ven genom f\u00f6reningsarbete i NOrdBruk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vilken plats kallar du hemma \u2013 och hur p\u00e5verkar den din relation till mat?<\/strong>
Jag \u00e4r uppvuxen p\u00e5 v\u00e5r g\u00e5rd och har flyttat tillbaka hit i vuxen \u00e5lder. P\u00e5 platsen bor \u00e4ven mina f\u00f6r\u00e4ldrar och det \u00e4r d\u00e4r jag ser mina barn v\u00e4xa upp. S\u00e5 jag har en oerh\u00f6rt stark hemmak\u00e4nsla p\u00e5 just den h\u00e4r platsen. G\u00e5rden ligger i nordligaste \u00d6rebro l\u00e4n, p\u00e5 Dalagr\u00e4nsen.
Jag k\u00e4nner att jag har ett ansvar att inte bara v\u00e4rna om den h\u00e4r platsen som byggts upp \u00f6ver 400 \u00e5r men \u00e4ven att jag som har tillg\u00e5ng till produktiv jordbruksmark har en skyldighet att producera mat till alla dom som inte har samma m\u00f6jlighet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Varf\u00f6r h\u00e5ller du med om att vi befinner oss i ett n\u00f6dl\u00e4ge i matsystemet?<\/strong>
Vi har s\u00e5 destruktiva strukturer ekonomiskt och politiskt s\u00e5 jag ser ingen m\u00f6jlighet att nuvarande trender ska brytas. Ett i Sverige 35-\u00e5rigt nedmonteringsprojekt av v\u00e5r h\u00e5llbara matproduktion forts\u00e4tter. St\u00f6rre och mer specialiserade enheter som producerar bulk till industrin medans allt f\u00e4rre g\u00e5rdar anses rationella att forts\u00e4tta driva. Det beh\u00f6vs riktigt stora strukturella f\u00f6r\u00e4ndringar f\u00f6r att v\u00e4nda utvecklingen. Det r\u00e4cker inte att skriva ett par meningar i en strategi. Att g\u00f6ra samma sak men f\u00f6rv\u00e4nta sig ett annat resultat \u00e4r ju definitionen p\u00e5 galenskap. Det \u00e4r precis vad som p\u00e5g\u00e5r just nu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

M\u00e5la upp ett \u00f6nskv\u00e4rt matsystem<\/strong>
Back to basic – ett steg fram\u00e5t. Som titeln p\u00e5 Torgny \u00d6stlings bok lyder. Vi hade ett levande jordbrukslandskap i hela Sveriges skogbekl\u00e4dda inland som kan st\u00e5 som modell. Ett diversifierat jordbruk med mj\u00f6lkkor och andra kreatur och i stor utstr\u00e4ckning egen foderproduktion. Skogen som syssla p\u00e5 vintern. Det gav ett oerh\u00f6rt levande landskap och dessutom l\u00e5g den lokala f\u00f6rvaltningen av skogen som en ekonomisk grundbult f\u00f6r v\u00e5rt samh\u00e4lle. Vi beh\u00f6ver ha diversifierade och lokalt f\u00f6rankrade jordbruksenheter f\u00f6r att kunna producera riktigt bra mat samtidigt som vi uppr\u00e4tth\u00e5ller biologisk m\u00e5ngfald och levande samh\u00e4llen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vilka \u00e4r de viktigaste f\u00f6r\u00e4ndringarna som m\u00e5ste ske f\u00f6r att vi ska n\u00e5 dit?<\/strong>
Bort med arrendejordbruket – bo och brukarplikt. En jordreform d\u00e4r jord och skog \u00e5ter blir lokala resurser. L\u00e4mna EU och ansluta oss till Norges linje s\u00e5 vi slipper den destruktiva handelspolitiken, det snedvridna st\u00f6dsystemet och l\u00e4mna id\u00e9n att v\u00e5ra naturresurser \u00e4r till f\u00f6r spekulativa kapitalplaceringar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vad bidrar du med f\u00f6r att f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttra matsystemet idag?<\/strong>
F\u00f6rs\u00f6ker bygga upp lokala alternativ i praktiken, ett andelsjordbruk, och samtidigt jobba med jordbruksfr\u00e5gorna nationellt och internationellt inom NOrdBruk och v\u00e5r globala paraplyorganisation La Via Campesina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Om du kunde vara en nyckelperson f\u00f6r en dag och g\u00f6ra en f\u00f6r\u00e4ndring i matsystemet \u2013 vem skulle det vara och vad skulle du g\u00f6ra?<\/strong>
Tror inte det finns n\u00e5gon<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vilken \u00e4r din st\u00f6rsta k\u00e4lla till hopp n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller maten och framtiden?<\/strong>
Att vi tillsammans med 200 miljoner sm\u00e5skaliga producenter inom La Via Campsina jobbar f\u00f6r att utveckla solidariska alternativ till dagens destruktiva v\u00e4rldshandelssystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vilken konkret handling skulle du vilja att alla som l\u00e4ser detta g\u00f6r?<\/strong>
