Olga Grönvall Lund
Board member, General Secretary and founder of Reformaten
Who are you? With an energetic and curious nature, I have organized events, engaged people and run various projects despite not having an academic background. One of my previous projects was Mäckish, where me and my best friend Kegen took our sandwich business & community from Berlin to cities like Paris, Copenhagen, Bologna and Hong Kong. We have participated in commercials and TV programs. Through Mäckish, I realized the harmful effects of the food system and the difficulties of running a business that strives for justice. When my father became ill and I saw how tax money was used to buy food that harms the environment and health, I founded Reformaten. I hate unnecessary suffering due to system errors and think that everyone has the right to a good and fun life.
Pelle Bengtsberg
Impact and Policy
Who are you? I’m an agronomist with a bachelor’s degree in gastronomy from the slow food-founded University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, Italy, and a master’s degree in rural development and natural resource management from the Swedish University of Agriculture. I was born into a farm in Hälsingland, and since then everything has been about the food. At a human rights organization, I have worked with the rights perspective on food, research councils with sustainable systems for food, and so many restaurants and events with the enjoyment and pleasure of food. The transition can be good, fun, welcoming and an issue that engages everyone if you serve it right. At Reformaten we have many of the ingredients needed.
Board
Fanny Sturén - Chairman Reformaten
Project manager sustainable development, restaurateur
Who is du? I have a Master’s degree in Sustainable Food Systems from SLU (Uppsala) and BA, Food Studies, The New School for Public Engagement (New York, USA). I have grown up in the pub and have taken my experiences from it into the academic world and educated myself on a systems level. I have always been interested in grassroots movements and got involved in everything from cooperative food stores, cooperative farming and sustainability work at the corporate level. Currently, I am the project manager for sustainable development at Urban Deli, but I have also been the sustainability manager at Svenska Brasseries.
Why are you in Reformaten? Food is life and one of the few things we all have in common. At the same time, we have a double burden of malnutrition and incorrect nutrition, which leads to both starvation and increased obesity. In addition, the forests are burning, the soils are depleted and the seas are rising. The food system is such a huge force to change and at the same time create joy if we only do it the right way. Therefore, I feel that Reformaten is a fantastic platform with its focus on large-scale system change
Sofia Austern Björkman - Vice Chairman
CEO of Kid Collective
Who are you? I have a master’s degree from the Stockholm School of Economics and today run the agency Kid Collective, which works with communication and design. Became a vegetarian at 14, first for ethical reasons, but it also quickly became clear that our food system is a huge burden on the planet. Likes growing both vegetables and flowers, spends a lot of time tinkering with different kinds of compost and is incredibly happy about my greenhouse.
Why are you in Reformaten? We are in the middle of a climate crisis, where the food we eat and how it is produced is a strong contributing factor. We need to regain respect for our landscapes, for our fields, for our animals – think long-term, think cycles, act empathically. The situation right now is unsustainable – that’s why the Reformation as a people’s movement is so important.

Jonas Bane
PR Consultant
Who are you? I am an environmental scientist with over a decade of advocacy work in my luggage, previously in civil society as chairman of the Climate Parliament and as a spokesperson for Klimataktion, now as an advisor in PR and public affairs at the agency Westander. I have also worked with Agenda 2030 in the Swedish upper secondary school for Future Minds and co-founded the KlimatSverige network. My past also includes a ten-year professional career as an actor, musical artist and producer.
Why are you in Reformaten? I am part of Reformaten because I see a need for a people’s movement that pushes for a better food system. It is absolutely necessary to secure the health of future generations and the planet we live on. A courageous people’s movement for food is needed to raise the issue in the debate and create space for influencing decision-makers at all levels, from small towns in the countryside to the high-rises in Brussels and beyond.
Monica Carlsson
Co-founder and co-owner PM Hotel, PM & Vänner Restauranger
Who are you? For a little more than 30 years I have run a restaurant business in Växjö in Småland, since 10 years also a hotel. Both at work and in my free time, I have always been interested in sustainability issues, where food is obviously the biggest part of a restaurant business. In addition to economics and leadership, I have a number of shorter university courses in climate and sustainability behind me, as well as in sustainable forestry. My parents were farmers, I myself like to grow as a hobby.
Why are you in Reformaten? The food system is complex and involves many areas. At the same time, there is so much knowledge and suggestions for solutions. Individual actions can be positive, but what is needed is a systemic change, for healthier soils, healthier food, preserved biodiversity, social justice and to avoid further climate change. With great commitment and enthusiasm, Reformat has an opportunity to be a bridge between knowledge and society in general. I would like to be a part of that. Personally, I am particularly committed to the possibilities of connecting research with food producers/growers and restaurants/consumers. Restaurants can play an important role in the food system through knowledge and inspiration. Cooperation and collaboration, meeting places and strong networks can mean that much more can happen in less time.
Matthias Karthäuser
Entrepreneur in the financing of Swedish agriculture
Who are you? I am an economist with a master’s degree in corporate finance from the School of Economics, where I specialized in, among other things, green investments and was on the board of SSE Students for Climate Action. During my studies, I co-founded the company Gårdskapital, which works with financing for agricultural companies, with the aim of enabling more investments in future food production.
Why are you in Reformaten? Everyone can influence what we eat and how it is produced every day, but for there to be sufficient momentum in the transformation of the food system, catalysts like Reformat are needed. It needs to become easy and affordable for the masses to eat more healthily and environmentally friendly, and the growers who produce the food we all need need to be paid more handsomely, reflecting the real value they create. I am convinced that Reformaten will play an increasingly important role in involving many more people in this transition and in connecting all the different actors in the food system who need to work together to drive the transformation towards a future with more profitable agricultural enterprises, healthier soils, happier animals, and healthier people.
